Thompson the Fox

Formed in 2016, this instrumental band performs "Ragtime" from good old America and various nostalgic music genres with cheerful and unique arrangements. The members, Rie Koyama (xylophone), Takumi Kotera (banjo), Akihide Teshima (bass), and Tomohito Yoshijima (drums), each bring different musical backgrounds, resulting in thrilling performances, full of speed and groove, that are well-received at live shows nationwide. They have participated in events such as the family day hosted by Carnegie Hall (2018 & 2020), the Asagiri Bluegrass Pickin Party (2019), the Gifu Mountain Time Festival (2019), and the Hyde Park Music Festival Yamasora Stage (2023). In 2022, they contributed music arrangements and performances to the 50th anniversary movie of Kawasaki City Nakahara Ward. In 2023, they became Kawasaki Jazz BRIDGE Artists.
