Here we go again this year! The outdoor screening event "Animation Travel!" showcases various short animated films from around the world.
Let's enjoy the screening together while cooling off in the park at night. In addition to the screening, there will be an exercise corner inspired by animation, so let's get moving and have a blast together!
It will be an unforgettable summer memory!

MIZUE Mirai

MIZUE Mirai (1981, Fukuoka) is an animation director who creates non-narrative pieces with cellular and geometric motifs. Known for his unique, eye-catching abstract animations, MIZUE is involved in a wide variety of projects that include independent animation and music videos. His most famous work, "MODERN No. 2" enjoyed its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and won the Original Music Prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The world premiere of MIZUE’s "WONDER" took place at the Berlin International Film Festival and went on to win the CANAL + Creative Aid prize at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival 2024

An international film festival dedicated to animation, held at the New Chitose Airport Terminal Building (Chitose, Hokkaido), the gateway connecting Hokkaido with the world. The festival is open to everyone, with programs that introduce animation from various perspectives, including the competition category boasting the largest number of entries among animation festivals in Japan, guest talks from around the world, screenings of the latest films that the festival highlights, and events for children. We invite you to come visit New Chitose Airport, where you can experience a wide array of the latest animations.
